What personal data we collect and why we collect it:
Personal Identification Information
We will never intentionally disclose any personal identification information about you as an individual user (such as, for example, your full name or e-mail address) to any third party without having received your permission. If you identify yourself to us by sending us an e-mail with questions or comments, we may use your personal information to respond to your questions or comments. We may file your comments for future reference, or we may discard the information after we have reviewed it. You can request to have your information removed/deleted from our database at any time. Email Subscription
If you sign up (with double “opt-in”) for our email list, your email address will be stored securely using Mailer Lite. We use this to email to notify you when a new recipe is shared on Homegrown Kitchen, plus upcoming workshops, cookbooks and publications.
You can update your preferences or opt out of the email list at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in one of the emails, or by contacting us at nicola@homegrown-kitchen.co.nz with a request to have your details permanently removed.
We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

Contact forms
Contact For 7 plugin is used on this website for the purpose of contact between the user and owner of the website www.homegrown-kitchen.co.nz. This plugin DOES NOT store your form entries on their site – it is only used by the website owner to respond to inquiries through the contact form.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. A comment/s can be requested to be removed from public view and/or deleted at anytime by contacting nicola@homegrown-kitchen.co.nz.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Who we share your data with
